ESP Development Log [08/05/09]

Had my first session of running phase 2 back to back with phase 1 (used the track for phase 2 followed by the track for phase 1 followed again by the track for phase 2) and after taking the headphones off, everything sounded somewhat wavey as if it’s oscillating back and forth.
Again there was that low pitched hum in the background. Listening to people speak sounded strange for about 30 minutes afterwards, the lower frequencies were oscillating louder and softer while the higher frequencies of speech were almost stinging me, I flinched when I heard high pitched sounds.

I also feel a lot more aware, it’s somewhat overwhelming being aware of the noises outside the building while still being able to hear the noises inside the roof, people all talking softly at the same time located at different places, the aircon running at different places, a coffee machine in the distance freaking me out every time somebody grinds coffee beans, mouse clicks and keystrokes coming from all directions, a packet of chips being opened somewhere, somebody eating chips, bird noises somewhere outside the building.

Time for another session, need to get accustomed to experiencing sensory overload and not just block it out every time.
